Meta positioning

King of Curses sits in the A-tier band of Tier 2 aggregator rankings (Beebom, FRVR) per docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.1, below the S-tier names (Spin / Saiyan / Shadow Monarch / Pride / Coyote / Atomic) but above the B-tier mid-game mains (Sosuke, Nen Prodigy). It is not listed in Foong’s Raid / Survival / Infinite meta build (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.1), which means it is not the optimal pick for any of the three competitive modes as of the post-SBR+AOT update meta (2026-05-13).

The signature value here is the g-slot at 350 — meaningfully lower than Sosuke’s 363 — so King of Curses earns its A-tier slot via kit-spread (mid-CD spammable z/x/c) rather than top-end g-slot DPS. Per the update-cycle note in docs/04-tier-list.md §5, re-verify tier every balance patch: new abilities tend to launch S-tier and Spin/Cid/Naoya are recent additions that have already pushed the meta past 2026-04 baselines.

The Flash row is notable — King of Curses is one of the few A-tier abilities where Flash’s -20% CD reduction alone is enough to push the optimal allocation to full damage (Zorro is the other one). Reaper is a safer Raid pick (sustained DMG with a small CD safety margin), Flash maximises the spam profile in Survival / Infinite.
