Rage

Rage is the second S-tier gadget per FRVR’s ranking. Unlike Black Hole (3 independent aggregators) the S placement is single-source — specific effect mechanics are not yet attested in the Discord ❔ faq channel.

Single-source caveat

FRVR’s tier list rates Rage at S-tier but does not specify the exact effect (damage boost vs. AoE pulse vs. crit-rate buff). Until Discord’s Meta Build or Gadget Database threads document Rage’s specific behavior, this page reflects the placement consensus without inventing mechanic detail.

Effect detail

Per frontmatter effect_text, Rage is marked as an “S-tier offensive gadget per FRVR — specific effect numbers not yet attested on Discord.” The gadgets tier-snapshot (tier-snapshots/index.json, category gadgets, 2026-05-13) reinforces this with the note “FRVR-only S placement; effect not described in sources.” docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.3 records the same status (“Rage — generic IP / not described / Raid 钦定 cosmetic (Battle Suit)”).

Best modes

Per docs/04-tier-list.md §1.5 (Shiroo死, 2026-05-09), gadgets are officially split into three mode rankings. Rage’s canonical home is the Raid gadget ranking: Foong’s Meta Build thread (§1.1.1, 2026-05-10) names “Rage (Battle Suit)” as the cosmetic-slot pick for Raid loadouts, paired with a weapon from Spin / Naoya / Akaza / Coyote and the Reaper trait. For the Survival (§1.1.2) and Infinite (§1.1.3) loadouts, Foong picks Black Hole or Infinity instead — Rage is not the Survival/Infinity cosmetic pick.

Tier positioning

Sits at S tier in the gadgets snapshot with sources_supporting: 1 (FRVR only) — docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.3 documents the S placement as “verified (FRVR + Tier 1)” because Foong’s Discord Meta Build thread independently confirms it as the Raid cosmetic. Cross-source breadth is narrower than Black Hole (FRVR + Beebom + Tier 1) — both are S, but Black Hole sees 3 attestation streams while Rage sees 2.

Synergies & comparison

In Raid loadouts, Rage occupies the same cosmetic slot Black Hole takes for Survival / Infinite — meaning Rage replaces, rather than complements, AoE-setup gadgets. Per docs/04-tier-list.md §1.1.1 / §1.2.1, the canonical Raid pairing is Rage + a Raid weapon (Spin / Naoya / Atomic / Destructive Fists per the §1.2.1 Reaper matrix) + Reaper trait + Colossus Titan or Igris pet (§1.1.4). For Survival builds, swap Rage out for Black Hole or Infinity.

Acquisition

Per frontmatter, Rage has rarity legendary with credibility verified_single_source (FRVR tier list). The frontmatter does not record a drop rate. Note: docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.3 explicitly calls Rage a “Battle Suit” cosmetic — the in-game item appears tied to the cosmetic system rather than the standard gadget gacha, but full unlock path detail is not yet documented in docs/04.
