Blade

Inspired by Generic blade-wielder archetype — no specific anime IP attribution in any source

NEEDS CHECK rarity unverified

Kit

Detailed skill table NOT enumerated by any source as of 2026-05-13. Single-source D-tier placement based on FRVR's roster article — no per-skill DMG numbers, no recommended trait, no specific anime IP attribution.

Blade is a D-tier ability per FRVR’s roster article — flagged as having limited viability and not recommended for any meta build.

Why this entry is needs_check

The D-tier placement comes from a single source (FRVR), and:

  • Tier 1 / Discord faq: not listed in Foong’s base-damage table (2026-05-12) or Rolasyum’s trait-pairing breakdown (2026-05-10)
  • Tier 1 / Discord meta build threads: never recommended in Raid, Survival, or Infinite mode loadouts
  • Tier 2 / other aggregators: Beebom, PGG, BloxInsider, FFBooyah, AllThings.how do not mention Blade in their tier lists

This is documented as a single-source D-tier mention rather than a fully verified placement. The page exists for roster completeness — so players searching for the ability land on an honest “limited viability, no detailed kit data” page rather than a fabricated stat block.

Honest summary

  • Status: roster-confirmed exists, placement-confirmed bottom band
  • Recommended for: nothing — pick any S/A/B-tier ability instead
  • IP attribution: generic blade-wielder archetype; the in-game name does not directly reference a specific anime character by name in any source we’ve cross-referenced

When to revisit

If a Discord faq entry surfaces with a Blade kit description, or if 2+ aggregators independently corroborate the D-tier placement with detail, this entry will be promoted to verified with stat data filled in. Until then, treat it as a directory entry with a credibility chip on the front.

On the possible Marvel reading

docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.1 logs the Blade IP as “generic / Blade (Marvel?)” — a speculative reading that the in-game name could be a reference to Marvel’s vampire-hunter Blade rather than a pure generic-archetype label. The “(Marvel?)” annotation is explicitly a question mark in the docs; no source confirms this attribution, and the broader site stays IP-agnostic until the Discord faq surfaces an explicit character mapping (Tier 1 evidence has been the source of every confirmed IP-character mapping so far — Gyro for Spin, Naoya for Head of Hei, Cid Kagenou for Atomic, Goku for Saiyan, etc.).

Treat the Marvel reading as a question to verify, not a claim. Until a Tier 1 entry lands, the IP attribution stays at “generic blade-wielder archetype”.

How Blade compares to the other Tier-1-absent abilities

Blade is one of three abilities in the roster that does not appear in Foong’s 13-ability base-damage table (docs/05-units-heroes.md §1.1). The other two are Ninja (D-tier, single-source FRVR, same as Blade) and Stark (A-tier, single-source PGG roster mention only). Blade and Ninja share the same single-source-FRVR D-tier placement and the same “no kit data, no IP confirmation” status — pick any S/A/B-tier ability over either of these two until concrete data surfaces.

Meta positioning

Per docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.1, Blade is D-tier with the note “Limited — needs_check (FRVR only)” and no rarity column entry. Foong’s three Meta Build tables (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.1.1 / §1.1.2 / §1.1.3) — covering Raid, Survival, and Infinite — never list Blade as a recommended weapon in any mode. Rolasyum’s trait-pairing matrix (docs/04-tier-list.md §1.2) never assigns Blade to either the Reaper Raid slot or the Flash Survival/Infinite slot.

The update-cycle note in docs/04-tier-list.md §5 records that new abilities tend to launch S-tier (Spin, Cid Kagenou, Naoya are recent post-SBR+AOT examples) — Blade is conspicuously absent from every Tier 1 dump after that update, consistent with a legacy slot that has not been touched by the recent power-curve shift.

Synergies & comparison

No Tier 1 source enumerates a Blade kit, trait, pet, or title pairing — so this section cannot honestly list a Foong / Rolasyum / Lunatic recommendation. What can be said:

  • Versus Ninja: same single-source-FRVR D-tier placement, same lack of kit data. No meaningful basis to prefer one over the other.
  • Versus Zorro: Zorro is C-tier with Tier 1 base dmg g = 200 documented (docs/04-tier-list.md §2.3.1 + docs/05-units-heroes.md §1.1). Zorro is the floor of the “documented” roster; Blade is below that floor.
  • Versus S/A/B-tier: any of King of Curses, Sosuke, Nen Prodigy is an upgrade. The S-tier targets per Foong’s Meta Build are Spin, Saiyan, Pride, Shadow Monarch, Coyote, and Atomic.
  • Pet / trait / title: no recommendation possible without a kit. Colossus Titan and Flash are universally strong picks per docs/04-tier-list.md §1.1.4 / §1.2, but the math cannot be shown without a base-damage row for Blade.
